Sante Salvoni: Resident Chef & Creative Director

As Resident Chef and Creative Director, Sante Salvoni brings the professional chef’s perspective to the WeChef founding team. Sante has turned a love of food into a twenty-eight year career. His passion led him from Boston to San Francisco to work in celebrated kitchens like The Lark Creek Inn and 42 Degrees. Sante was the Executive Chef at Slow Club for seven years, a neighborhood institution in San Francisco’s Mission District. As a private chef, he continues to create daily changing menus that use the freshest seasonal ingredients available. Sante’s food features Californian-Mediterranean flavors that reflect his dedication to farm-direct, artisanal ingredients from sources that keep sustainable practices. Sante’s food is recognized for focused creativity, technique and resourcefulness. The results are always distinctly tasty and satisfying.

Sante enjoys connecting with people over food. He contributes recipes to numerous food magazines and cookbooks, works to support non-profit culinary organizations like Slow Food, and teaches classes for the public in kitchens around the Bay Area. Sante always receives great reviews – the 2006 San Francisco Zagat Survey states that Sante's food is "what home cooking would be if you were married to a Michelin star chef".
